sophie grubb at Charlie Innes The union, which creates a new PR division of CIA headed-up by Miss Grubb, comes as part of the firm's planned growth strategy, which has already lead to a 50% increase in turnover over the last year.

Commenting, managing director Charlie Innes said: "Sophie and I have worked in synergy for the last two years, during this time I had the opportunity to see just how well the PR function fits with the overall CIA service range. Realising the benefits that joining forces would bring to both of our existing and potential clients, I am absolutely delighted that Sophie has joined us.

"2008 is set to be a year of continued growth for CIA, starting very promisingly with the award of a new contract, which involves the coordination of all PR and marketing for the North-east's fastest growing subsea contractor, Bibby Offshore. This is a significant achievement for the new-look CIA team, paying tribute to their enthusiasm and commitment."

Sophie Grubb commented, "I am extremely excited to have joined Charlie Innes Associates and look forward to being able to offer clients the added in-house capability and expertise that this move will allow."
